Relocating to Hamilton Ontario

Hamilton is such a unique city. Located on the shores of Lake Ontario just south of Burlington, Hamilton is one of Canada's leading industrial centres. It's known for its iron and steel industry which began in the mid-19th century. It is now one of Canada's largest accounting for a major part of the national steel output. Hamilton is also known for other industries such as railroad equipment, clothing, appliances, turbines, automotive parts, wires, nails, and of all things, candy. Hamilton is also a financial hub and centre of an extensive fruit growing district and the location of one of Canada's largest open air markets.

Hamilton is served by rail and freeway connections to Toronto, which is about 55 km northeast and 88 km from Buffalo New York. The Hamilton Farmers Market is a year-round permanent establishment with over 50 vendors originally opened in 1837. It's a great spot for local, national, and international foods including produce, meat, poultry, eggs, baked goods, flowers and handmade products. It's located in the heart of downtown Hamilton beside Jackson Square and the Hamilton public library. It is one of Hamilton's oldest and most cherished traditions.
