Relocating to Niagara Falls Ontario
We all know of Niagara Falls but did you know it's actually a city in Ontario and New York? Of course, the tourist area near the falls includes observation towers and hotels, museums and water parks, casinos and theaters, but there's a lot more to Niagara Falls the city than the tourist destination.
Niagara Falls is one of the most vibrant places in the country and it's also touted as one of the best places to live. It offers affordable real estate, beautiful views, and a wealth of things to do. It offers a great job environment, with suitable opportunities to earn a living and with the Canadian Government Job Bank, it's easy to find employment. It has an exceptional school and educational system. And while it might be a great place to visit, it's also home to about 90,000 residents.
Locals at Niagara Falls will find multiple fishing and swimming spots to enjoy, biking trails, helicopter rides, parks, theaters, and more. The average home price is only about $700,000 compared to a small studio apartment that you can get in downtown Toronto for the same price.
The Niagara region is composed of 12 municipalities from rural little towns and beachfront cottages to historic Main Street and high-rise waterfront properties. I feature several urban centers with vintage bistros and darling little shops. There are also hundreds of wineries, local events, and great shopping.
Pretty much the only downside to living in Niagara Falls is that you have to deal with tourists year-round but it's of those tourists that drive a lot of our tourist economy and create jobs. This may also bring a little bit of traffic as one of the main challenges to citizens of Niagara Falls.
Niagara Falls Ontario Schools
Niagara Falls is served by the District School Board of Niagara and the Catholic district operating several elementary and secondary schools throughout the region. It has one postsecondary institution and another within the outline Niagara region. There are five secondary or high schools and in the city of Niagara Falls is the Niagara College based in Welland with campuses in Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and St. Catherines.
